With a need for innovative cutting-edge infrastructure, the implementation of TouchStar’s rugged TS8000 handheld terminals is set to provide Peters Foods with increased visibility and enhanced customer service within their Caerphilly Manufacturing Facility.

Established in the 1950’s in Merthyr Tydfil , Peters Foods is a pastry specialist manufacturing award winning pastries, sausages and saveloys. From pies and pastries to bacon and beans, from chips and peas to meats and cheese, Peter’s also supplies a range of over 900 product lines delivered nationwide to a variety of customers including fast food outlets, fish bars, restaurants, independent retailers, schools and hotels throughout the country.

Peter’s ultimate aim is to exceed expectations, providing quality products, with first class service through high levels of availability, and competitive pricing. Operating within ten distribution centres around the country, the company places a big emphasis on having the right infrastructure in place to carry out the demands of their customers and fulfil its aims. As part of this aim, Peters Foods were looking at implementing a new scanning solution that would secure increased visibility of their finished product post production. Peters selected the rugged TS8000 handheld by TouchStar Technologies. The fit for purpose TS8000 supports fast and accurate data capture, integrated with TouchStars bespoke application software, the system is set to secure enhanced stock visibility for Peters Foods and their end users.
