ELIQUO have selected TouchStar for a technology rollout of the latest rugged tablets and handheld computing devices, aiming to enhance real-time stock visibility and streamline management processes.

The Business Requirement

ELIQUO HYDROK are both manufacturers and distributors of a number of specialist products for the water industry. They are committed to the support of quality solutions and have extensive stock holding facilities within their Cornwall based Head Office.

The rollout of rugged devices within the operation was defined by a need for improved stock management. The planned implementation of rugged mobile computers will enable ELIQUO HYDROK to capture stock movements of high value product within the goods in and picking processes, therefore allowing for more efficient management of this operation.

Rugged Device Recommendations

TouchStar recommended two devices for the technology rollout: Zebra’s ET51 tablet and TC27 handheld touch computer. The selected devices will equip operatives with advanced scanning capability, helping identify and track goods whilst capturing accurate stock information that will help support an efficient and flexible operation.  

Zebra ET51 Enterprise Tablet:

Rugged, yet both compact and lightweight, the ET51 provides advanced data capture scanning combined with lightning-fast processing and connectivity. Supporting real time visibility, the ET51 will integrate with the company’s warehouse management software to support data capture and visibility within supervisor-based stock management operations.

Zebra TC27 Handheld Touch Computer:

The TC27 offers ELIQUO HYDROK a lightweight, durable and reliable hardware solution. Always connected, the devices will provide real time data capture, visibility and efficiencies within the picking processes. With its faster, next-generation processor and industry-leading memory, the TC27 will ensure applications run smoothly and efficiently for real time benefits to the business.
