The Ice Co recently selected TouchStar to implement a RF system that would integrate the latest rugged mobile computing technology.  With a high level of expertise within the logistics sector, TouchStar have over 30 years real world experience in the integration, installation and support of data capture systems into leading warehouse and distribution operations, including cold storage.

The main benefit of the new system implementation will be realised from the real time barcode scanning. Rugged and reliable, the system integrates TouchStar’s in house manufactured TS8000 handheld and TS7000 fork lift truck mounted computers. Using the latest 802.11 standards, the new system implementation will equip The Ice Co with secure high performance wireless coverage for high speed, accurate data capture.

The devices are set to streamline existing warehouse processes as a result of increased productivity and accuracy. Fully supported in the UK by a comprehensive support and maintenance package, The Ice Co will realise reduced downtime and seamless operation of their storage and distribution facility.
